INFRASTRUCTURE AND LEARNING RESOURCES

 

The Institution has adequate facilities for teaching and learning. viz., classrooms, seminar halls, laboratories, sports fields, fitness centers, ICT resources, art resources, libraries, reading rooms, computing facilities, facilities for health and physical development, play fields, hostel facilities, recreational equipment, etc. for the various programs offered.
Our college is providing adequate infrastructure for educating and training students, empowering them with leadership skills, and teaching aptitude and self-confidence for professional growth. Our campus is equipped with modern facilities and learning resources to achieve academic excellence according to its vision and strategic objectives. Our college spreads over 5 acres in a beautiful and homely atmosphere, ideally situated for teacher education. The college has well-designed buildings, recreation and cultural activities, and common facilities like a playground, canteen, and hostel for staff and students near the campus. The college buildings are constructed in three blocks, which cover all the facilities.
 
The following are the facilities of our college:
Class Rooms
There are 10 class rooms spread over two blocks: the administration block and the K block. The class rooms are spacious and well-furnished and are provided with a projector, adequate ventilation, a notice board, wooden tables, a centralized public announcement system, a wi-fi internet facility, a black and green board, lights, fans, and the required seating arrangements.
Seminar Hall
The college has three well-equipped seminar halls, which are enough to accommodate the students of this institution. There are three seminar halls for the college in total, and one of them is equipped with a panel board, projector, and podium for various purposes. The seminar halls can be used for activities such as seminars, guest lectures, cultural activities, whole staff meetings, and other department events. Seminar halls are also provided to every department, which is an ideal venue for student seminars and other department events.
Auditorium
Our college auditorium, with an area of 830 square meters, has a seating capacity of more than 500 people, which helps conduct various activities in a relaxed way. The auditorium provides facilities for the audience to hear and watch performances during special occasions.
Science Laboratories
Our college has a fully equipped science laboratory, which helps students conduct and test experiments if needed. It has all the equipment needed for experiments like an analytical weight box, bar magnet, thermometer, burettes, pipettes, spirit lamp, test tubes, glass rod, test tube stands, slides, microscopes, HCL, H2SO4, Ammonium carbonate, magnesium ribbon, conical flask, watch glass, potassium permanganate, ammeter, galvanometer, etc.
Educational Technology Lab and ICT Lab
This institution has a well-equipped Educational Technology Lab and ICT Lab, which are combined in the same room with a panel board, OHP, computer, laptop, etc.
Curriculum Lab
The curriculum laboratory of the college is functional, with equipment and instruments in working condition. It is filled with all the needed items.
Psychology lab
We have a well-equipped psychology lab with test paper, an I.Q. set, a psycho-scientific work instrument set, a pathos and scale, psychology book sets, a stop watch, color performance, a general test, a metronome, a pass-along test apparatus, a test of General Intelligence, Teaching Aptitude Test Battery, Dimensional Personality Inventory, Vocational Interest Record, Teacher Attitude Inventory, Mental Fatigue Test, Educational Interest Record
 Computer Lab and Language Lab
Our college has a fully equipped computer lab in the administration block itself. It includes twenty fully functioning computers. The same room is functioning as a language lab to help students learn the phonetics of language accurately. It introduces interview skills, communication skills, and methods to increase vocabulary and language awareness. This room has a microphone, headphones, etc.
Art and Resource Center
We have a well-equipped room for Arts and Resources. The students can use these resources to make working models and still models and can practice skills using these items. Health and Fitness
The division of Physical Education and sports constitutes an integral pursuit in the precincts. The department is well armed with the latest framework, and it has an adequate exterior arena for outdoor plays.
The college fitness center houses an ultramodern gymnasium, catering to the needs of fitness enthusiasts. A fitness professional is appointed to process the knowledge, skills, and abilities for safe and effective exercise and fitness program design, instruction, and assistance for the purpose of reaching personal health and fitness goals.

The institute is enriched with a multipurpose play field with an area of 8419 square meters, which includes 200 m track, Football court, Kho-Kho court, Volleyball, Cricket nets, Multigym, Badminton and Yoga hall.

Yoga hall

We have a well-equipped yoga hall. Students and faculty members can use this space to meditate and even practice yoga.

Staff Room

We have a fully furnished staff room equipped with tables, chairs, racks, cupboards, shelves, a washing area, and an attached toilet. This room also has two computers and a printer, which help the faculty do their work in a faster manner.

Day Care Center 

We have a daycare center with the necessary facilities. This room is arranged with beautiful wall paint and has enough toys and chairs for the kids. Separate staffs were appointed to look after the kids.

Incinerator

We have an incinerator for waste treatment processes that involve the combustion of nondegradable waste. An incinerator is installed to burn the sanitary napkins in the girl’s toilet. Another one is also installed in the backyard of the college campus for the combustion of the non-degradable wastes.

Biogas plant

To maintain green energy and a green campus Our college has set up a biogas plant for treating organic waste and recycling the manure for garden plants and the herbarium.

Canteen

We have a good and clean canteen with a seating capacity of 50 at a time. The staff cooks and serves food in a more hygienic manner.

 Hostel Facility

The college has a safe and separate hostel facility for both girls and boys in the campus surroundings, with an intake capacity of 50 each.

Safe Drinking Water Facilities

The college has a drinking water facility with a water purifier that is situated in three places. These three filtered water systems are used by staff and students for safe drinking water.

Fire Extinguisher

Our college is constructed as a one-floor, section-wise building, so there is no need for a fire extinguisher.

First aid facility

We have an equipped facility room for medical first aid. This room has enough medicines that can be used as first aid.

Transport and vehicle parking

Arafa management has 17 vehicles in total for transportation purposes, out of which one bus is named and used for Arafa teacher training college. The campus has enough parking space for all these vehicles and a separate area for repairs if needed.

Common room for boys and girls

Our campus provides separate common rooms for both boys and girls with enough facilities.

Recreational facilities

We have a room with enough facilities for students recreation. The same room also provides facilities for music. Instruments like the violin, Sruthi box, mouth organ, harmonium, cymbal, key board, guitar, etc. can be used by the students as per their taste.

Book bank

We have a separate area for the book bank in the library. And this is arranged option-wise for the convenience of the students.

Toilets for girls, boys, and staff

The college provides clean toilets separately for boys, girls, and staff. We also provide toilet facilities for the public.
