 INTER COLLEGIATE CHESS TOURNAMENT  Arafa Institute for Teacher Education, Attur  organized Inter Collegiate Chess Tournament on 9th November 2023. The event inaugurated by Sri. K. S. Hamza , General Secretary of AITE Attur. The event started at 10.AM with a total of 14 highly enthusiastic contestants taking part in the competition. The participants followed the rules and judged by the state arbiter Sri. Prasad Subramanian. Every contestants was given 15  minutes to make their movements.  The participants were made to play simultaneously with 4 rounds of chess matches. After a tough competition Miss. Oshin Anilkumar representing St. Thomas College Thrissur securing the first position and Mr. Rahul K Kamath representing Thejus Engineering College Vellarakkad securing  second position.

                                                                                                                                         " ARPPO IRROO" Arafa Institute For Teacher Education, Attur,  has conducted the Onam celebration *ARPOO IRROO 2K23" on 25th August 2023 to mark unity and equality among the student community. We welcomed Onam with a huge 'flower carpet' made by the students . As a feast to our eyes everyone was wearing dhoti and saree which is a traditional outfit of Kerala.  "Gurusparsam" The Teachers’ Day, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan’s birthday, was celebrated on September 5 at Arafa Institute of Training College, Attur with befitting programs. The theme of the Teachers’ Day 2023 was that “ Teachers are at the heart of the educational recovery.“ ‘Gurusparsam’, the Teachers’ Day celebration, was notable for its variety of events. Shifana a student from the Department of Mathematics welcomed the teachers and everyone to the function. Principal Dr. Shahna AM gave the inaugural address in the “Gurusparsam” program organized by the college.   VISIT TO KERALA KALAMANDALAM  The Government of India considers Kerala Kalamandalam to be the University of Art and Culture. It is a significant location for learning Indian performing arts, particularly those that originated in the Southern states of India, with a focus on Kerala. It is located on the banks of the Bharathapuzha river in the little town of Cheruthuruthi in the Thrissur District. In addition to teaching the ancient orchestra known as Panchavadyam, Kalamandalam also teaches classical dance and theater genres such Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Kudiyattam, Thullal, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and Nangiar Koothu.   ENVIRONMENTAL WEEK 2023 PLASTIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN AT ATTUR  In order to fight plastic pollution and advance sustainable practices in our community, Attur Panchayath AITE created a plastic awareness campaign organized by the Environmental Club. As a part of the Beat Plastic Campaign 2023, the students performed the survey, gathering data from 35 houses in Attur. The residents were also given a leaflet for awareness. OBJECTIVES  Reduce single-use plastic consumption. Promote plastic recycling Educate residents about the harmful effects of plastic pollution. CAMPAIGN PLAN Environment Club members and the Natural Science department worked together to create a thorough plan that outlined the campaign's timeframe, activities, and required materials.
